Simply owning a business is not enough. It is essential to create a visible and recognizable social media presence for your brand to access diverse communities.

 

My client recently published herbusiness Instagram page, which is about providing information about (beauty) products used by influencers and celebrities in the form of links. This way, customers can purchase these products faster.

The journey in a nutshell

 

Problem: an inconsistent appearance, no recognition value

Question: Which existing patternscan be adopted for her identity as a beauty page set up, what is the target group or what kind of users does she want to attract?

Solution: a feminine, clean set-up, story pattern and an avatar

Defined target group:
beauty lovers from 15-30

Research has shown that this age group is particularly likely to buy products advertised by influencers. It was, therefore, important to be able to show this target group products, discounts, and promotions used by well-known personalities on Instagram. Therefore, we opted for a cheerfully elegant, and at the same time inviting look. There are pink, green, and nude colors in different facets. Moreover, since it's about skincare and makeup, the colors of different skin tones are picked up. It's about femininity, beauty and care, which is also surrounded by a certain luxury.

I designed layouts for her posts as well as illustrations for an avatar, for which I used a photo of her I had taken before. Since products rather than the creator would be the focus of the account, we decided to set a digital drawing as the avatar. For this, I took a photo of her, also completely in the theme ‘Beauty’, which served as a template for my digital drawing.
